i remember we can download video in window xp using firefox somehow. is there anyhow we can download video from forums and websites( beside youtube) in a similar way for mac?

You need two things for this.

2. Video download helper extension for firefox that can be downoloaded from
It will addownload video from youtube macd an icon in your Firefox's toolbar after installation. Whenever you browse any site with firefox that has any video embedded, the icon will get colourful and animated. Just click the icon and it will list you all the videos found on the page. Click the video of your choice to start the download.
Normally you open source download video from youtube maccode (View Source, Source, Show Source) and do a search (w/e that special key is called + f) for .flv. About 80% of the time you find a link containing .flv at the end and you just paste it in the address bar to download. You can also try these too:
