Is it illegal to download music from limewire to my mp3 player for free?
It's illegal to download music from Limewire, period. It doesn't matter what you do with it, the act of downloading it without paying for it is illegal. It's copyright infringement, and if you're caught the fine is between $750.00 and $150,000.00 per song. It doesn't matter if you've paid for Limewire Pro. It doesn't matter if it's for personal use. It's illegal, unless the copyright holder is the one distributing it for free. So if it's a local band trying to get themselves heard, it's fine. But if it's a commercial song then you're breaking the law.
If you did not pay for the music then it is illegal.
Limewire is illegal and be careful because a friend of mine used that site and completely screwed her computer there are sooo many virus infected files on there she got a Trojan that wiped out her computer, even with Norton anti virus...

There probably is a smaller chance of getting caught at a library because I believe when you get off it would automaticly uninstall everything and the IP doesn't trace to you it traces to the library.

yes it is ....... bc somebody else has already purchased the music and all you are doing is copying them for free ..... it is called copy write laws and they can bust you for it but you dont stand a very good chance i think that i read somewere that 90 percent of people do it (includeing me ) they cant bust everybody soooooo ..... yea it is illegal .... and if you dont know what you are doing you can get all kinds of malware , spyware and viruses
Yes it is illegal 2 download music from limewire. Unless u already own the song on the cd and the cd got broken thats legal. But if u think about millions of ppl r actually downloading mp3 frm limewire everday.
Yes. It is illegal to download limewire mp3's or any other file for that matter. If you have purchased the mp3 already-- lets say you bought the cd, or got it on itunes then lost it somehow, its ok for you to download it on limewire because you already payed for the copyrighted material.
