limewire is a shareware program, i have it myself. i have used it for almost a year and never found a file that had a virus on it. there has been files where they did not work but never caused any problems, yes it is free, just go to www.limewire.com yes there is uploads but you can stop them when they start. however you have to accept them when you install the program. pro cost money

the program itself does not have viruses but the things you download might. just make sure your computer has virus protection before you start downloading. usually program files(gamfree limewire 4.10 downloades, programs, stuff that you have to open) will have viruses. Limewire is a movies/music/photo/program and text files sharing program..... its really good... you can always delete it if you don't like it BUT BE SURE TO HAVE A GOOD ANTI-VIRUS (updated) AND even A Little knowledge on how to fix your computer when the anti-virus somehow did not detect and the virus ruin some of your program. it happens to me many times now but i always get my computer working properly when it happens....
