I sit there, watching everyone with ideas typing away. What to write, what to write. The clicking of the keys surrounds me, haunting my every thought. I need something to write about.
The assignment is due in three days, is it enough time, we'll see. I have writer's block, no ideas, nothing to inspire me. I look around, I see people, I see books, and I see computers. Nothing interesting here, unless you like cream colored walls.
My best friend already has a page written, and what do I have? Not even three paragraphs? Not good, at all. I look down at my computer; my celebrity crush stares back at me. Inspire me!
My First Try:
Brown hair, long, but not too long, framed his face. His eyes. They were a golden brown. I looked at them, and I was under his spell. His name was Justin, how could I resist him? His hotness was unbearable. He was hunk of burning love. Teenage girls throughout the town were in love with him. But out of everyone, he chose me.
Why?
Because I am super hot and totally irresistible? Nope. Because I loved him for who he was, not for his fame or success, but that was definitely a bonus.No, never mind. I don't just want to write about some boy I am hopelessly in love with. That will not do.
So I am stuck. No ideas. No inspirations. Nothing.
Usually I like to write poems, but the only topics for poems I can come up with sound like second grade works. A poem about snowflakes or rain surely won't do.
It seem as though I live in my brothers shadow. He is an amazing writer. He has won a Scholastic Gold Key as well asnew jersey ask test prep multiple essay contests. It is his passion, not mine. I love to write, don't get me wrong, it is just that I can't sit down and write something. I wish I could, it would make this assignment so much easier. Nevertheless, I am not my brother; I am myself. An independent person. Free to do what I please.
At least I got some talent with art. I might not be amazing, but I am better then he is. I guess that evens us out, he gets the amazing writer gene and I get the good artist gene. Too bad. I am at least going to try.
My Second Try:
I was a Monday afternoon. School just let out, and my best friend and I raced to the English Room. After going back and forth a few times, I make her ask to use the phone. She does, and Mrs. Fagglehaggen asks why. We look at each other, then to the floor, and back to Mrs. Fagglehaggen. Our response: "We need to call Taylor's mom to see if she's buying Jingle Ball tickets?"
It was the truth, and we didn't want to lie. Mrs. Fagglehaggen looked at us and said no. They will still when you get home, she told us. We weren't so convinced. These tickets have sold out within five minutes of being posted, how sure could we be? We suffered through two hours of test prep classes (our last ones ? and then ran home. Luckily, we got the six tickets we needed. I am not even going to mention the price because it was so extravagant, I am even ashamed to say I spent that much on one ticket.
You might wonder why we needed Jingle Ball tickets so badly. And, that it is a very good question. Well, we being teenage ginew jersey ask test preprls, we will do almost anything for a boy. So yes, this is for Justin Bieber, what else can I say? But we also want to see Taylor Swift, Owl City, Pitbull…the others. Though, Justin Bieber is the main reason. I have even emailed his manager, asking for backstage passes (no answer as of now) and tried to work our connections. Nothing yet.
And now, the day after we bought the Jingle Ball tickets, Justin Bieber is on Ellen. Now, online on the Ellen show's website, it says that in Northern New Jersey, where I live, it is on at three. So of course, the fact that we have sports till four is really a bummer. Taylor and I are going crazy coming up with how we can watch it. There ends up being no way, and as soon as we are dismissed, we run to Taylor's house. We are lucky that Taylor only lives around the corner from the school. It is just about four when she turns on the TV in her room. Wow. The show didn't start until four. How? I'm not really sure, but I looked online again, and I looked at the listings for NYC. This being the fact that we live fifteen minutes away from there. Ah! It says 4:00 there, so I guess that is where our TV signal is coming from.

There are questions about who is related to who so I thought I'd try to clear up some of the questions. The answers are based on my memory as well as articles at Wikipedia and the nbc site for the show.
TOM HORTON, the patriarch of the HORTON family. Husband of ALICE HORTON (nee Grayson). TOM was the Chief of Staff at Salem University Hospital for years. TOM & ALICE have five children:
1-TOMMY-married KITTY, one daughter, SANDY. TOMMY served in the Korean War and was wounded. He had facial plastic surgery and found his way back to Salem but had amnesia. He used the name Dr. MARK BROOKS until family members put the pieces together and realized that he was really TOMMY HORTON. The character has been off the canvas and somewhere in the hospital for years.
2-ADDIE HORTON, married Ben Olson and had two children: daughter, JULIE and son, Steven. JULIE, a troubled teenager, has a son, DAVID BANNING and a grandson, SCOTT BANNING. SCOTT's mother was Trish Clayton. Addie and her second husband, DOUG WILLIAMS, have a daughter, HOPE ALICE WILLIAMS. After Addie's death, JULIE and DOUG married and raised HOPE together. It's been over a month now, and to be honest, I have cried every single day and night since I found out Michael Jackson died. I think I am becoming depressed because of it. I went shopping the other day and the store was playing a MJ song and I went and hid in the change room and cried so much that i gave myself a nosebleed. I am heartbroken. I am not coping with the thought of him dying, or his children being used in a game of tug-o-war.
My heart feels empty and it aches for him and his kids. I don't know what to do. I have even tried to stop looking on youtube and also google for news updates but it doesn't seem to work. I am still as sad about it as before. Can anyone give me some advice on what I should do, or point me in the right direction of an online forum of other fans who are finding it hard to come to terms with this awful loss?

Dying is part of life and it is never easy to cope with no matter who you are. The reality of this is that you are fixated on a pop star whom you have never met and was totally crazy.
You need to get over it and move on with life. The odds are, you have never had any true responsibilies in life and everything has been handed to you. You idea of disappointment is not getting the clothes you want or not getting a certain flavor of ice cream when you want it.

I think most of the answers that people give on this Politics and Government section are more opinions rather than real answers. Their answer is how they WANT things to be, rather than what they really are. But the question remains . Why do they pretend so , to answer wha they are in no way able to advise on ?
I don't know. That bugs me. But, then again, even though I do ask questions on here, I don't assume any answer is 100% accurate! There are just average people killing time on the internet!
I think most of the answers that people give on this Politics and Government section are more opinions rather than real answers. Their answer is how they WANT things to be, rather than what they really are. But I think there's often the same problem in reverse: the asker chooses the best answer based on what he wants to hear rather than the trutlegal answerh...so even if one person knows what he's talking about, they don't get taken seriously be the asker doesn't like the answer!
I've tried answering a few that I was fairly certain about, but I always try to say at the bottom that I'm not 100% sure and to ask a professional before doing anything. All in all, I try to stick to the "opinion" questions; there's no right or wrong there! Haha.
I think a better question is: why are people seeking legal advice on Yahoo! Answers when a practicing lawyer isn't likely to be found on here answering questions? Therefore, any advice you'd get wouldn't be worth paying for; thus, you'll be likely to get the quality of free legal advice.

Well, time is something no one really ever fully understands. I think that people may use it as not only a metaphor for something they cannot comprehend, but also as the actual "dimension" of time. Everything in this world takes time. Especially love. To build up that emotion towards someone, it takes time. To show your love for someone, whatever form of love it is, takes time as well.
Well, time is something of a paradox in that we can measure it yet not harness it. We can undersi wonder why poems i love youtand the basic concept but be blown away by the sheer strangeness of it at the same time.
Writers, and poets in general, often like to try to explain or attempt to understand and investigate things that are abstract or unexplainable. In this way, the idea of time is very much like the notions of love, pain, fear and more.

Was wondering why you think time is so commonly used in poetry, particularly love poems?
Well, time is something no one really ever fully understands. I think that people may use it as not only a metaphor for something they cannot comprehend, but also as the actual "dimension" of time. Everything in this world takes time. Especially love. To build up that emotion towards someone, it takes time. To show your love for someone, whatever form of love it is, takes time as well.
Well, time is something of a paradox in that we can measure it yet not harness it. We can undersi wonder why poems i love youtand the basic concept but be blown away by the sheer strangeness of it at the same time.
Writers, and poets in general, often like to try to explain or attempt to understand and investigate things that are abstract or unexplainable. In this way, the idea of time is very much like the notions of love, pain, fear and more.
In the case of love poems, time can have several meanings. It is up to the poet to create his perspective of the concept. Time can be focused on a long-lasting union of souls as a positive or a fading element that ultimately separates us as more of a negative.
As far as these two Sonnets go, here are two examples of analysis:

At some point early humans ("cave men") developed hunting tools and were able to kill big animals, making them more effective hunters than the wolves that shared their territory. When the wolves came to steal the meat the humans would throw some to the wolves to keep them away. Eventually the wolves realized that they could hang out near humans and eat well without doing much hunting of their own.
If a wolf was aggressive the humans would kill it; if a wolf was friendly and cute the humans would throw it some meat. This process, repeated for a few hundred thousand (million?) years resulted in dogs that knew how to please humans.
It also resulted in humans that knew how to please dogs. Humans with pets were more likely to survive; dogs keep other preditors away and assist in hunting. The relationship goes both ways.
The questions of "deserving" love is a little more complicated. Without human influence there probably wouldn't be dogs as we know them; they would probably be more like wild wolves. And without dog influence humans would be different too. If dogs regularly killed humans it would be in our best interest as a species to kill dogs, or at least keep them away from us.
So, in a sense, humans and dogs created each other to love and be loved by each other. We can't help but love them, and they us.
My dog loves me because I give her the best food. I give her lots of love. I spoil her (with a fair amount of discipline). I take her lots of places. I buy her a lot of toys. I buy her bones. I don't abuse her. I treat her like a princess. Do I deserve her love? I think so. I don't think she would ever turn on me.

Im from Australia and wanting to go over to the states for about 6 weeks in 2013. I really want to go to the country music festival in Nashville TN. BUT... the website is a bit confusing and i dont know anyone thats actually been.
Is it actually like a festival or a concert? Is there only 1 big stage or several stages like a festival?
Can you camp or do you stay in other accomodation?
Is it possible to buy tickets for only 1 or 2 days? Instead of all 4
Is it usually on about the same time every year?
Do Rascal Flats go every year?? haha :)
Would it be a fun/safe road trip from New Orleans to Memphis and Nashville?

The CMA Festival is usually the second weekend in June and runs Thursday through Sunday. It is held in downtown Nashville, so there is no place to camp. You need to get a hotel, and they tend tflats music festivalo jack up the rates for that weekend. It is a festival with multiple concert venues, meet-and-greet opportunities, and other activities. You can buy tickets by the day rather than a 4-day pass, but I think the pass might be cheaper than 2 days (not positive on that).
Your road trip sounds like fun. Do your homework on what to see each place. The official tourism websites for each city are:

theres 2 one for the nightly concerts that you payflats music festival to see this stage in inside the football stadium
and during the day they are on the river on that stage playing music

you have to stay in a hotel which there are several downtown and close by!!

I am interested in working in senior care in Las Vegas, do i need any type of certification or liscense to work in a retirement home? I havent had much luck with job searches but am willing to work either in a facility or privately in someones home. There were only a very few places hiring at that time and they want you to do allot for about $9.50 or so an hour. You must pay for your own gas, cell phone so that the clients can reach you if you are doing an errend for them and the only supplies the co. give you are throw away gloves. Everything else comes out of your pocket or the client must pay for it.
My neighbors at the time were doing this job for years and sort of got me interested in finding out more about it. My neighbor must do this to offset her low ss checks and she wasn't sure how much longer she could do the job because of all the lifting and twisting involved in taking care of someone tnevada retirement homeshat is bed ridden.
Anyways, I went has far as to get my two series of Hep C shots, my health card from the state and attened the food handlers movie and discussion that followed. I was good to go after that.
After you have all of those papers in order at your expense( approx. $100.) up front you can then allpy at one of the many senior care agencies around town if they are hiring at all now.
They usually charge the clients medicare $20.per hour but pay you $9 to $10. an hour.
If you want any overtime which never happens much, they have you apply with one of their sister agencies so that they don't have to pay you time and a half. (so cheap with the staff)
You then must attend without pay a two to three day orientation and then purchase a uniform at your expense.
My cousin does this sort of work in NM. She has had allot of experience with the terminal and with this economy she is only getting clients for less then 10 hours a week. More hassle to drive and get ready for work then money in her pocket.
She wants more hours but business is slow right now.
You should call one of the seniornevada retirement homes care co. here in NV, they will tell you what you need to get started.

Racism is only towards black people. Blacks don't have power. All the other minority races are considered honorary whites so they don't suffer racism.
I believe it's because in history, Europeans were xenophobes. Once they started traveling the world and seeing people that looked extremely opposite of what they looked like it scared them.They could not understand why this was. Of course these are the same people that believed the world was flat. Anyway, facial features were different, hair was different & skin so they assumed that it's because they were a less evolved species of human. Different than them and thus inferior. Darwin, one of the most respected & famous scientist, also supported this theory. His theory of evolution is that we all came from one common ancestor, possibly apes. Many Europeans equated black feature to that of apes. So they considered them animals, and stupid, & savages. Also black skin was considered evil. It was believed to be a curse.(Ham) This is how they justified abusing, and enslaving them. These kind of thoughts & beliefs have been passed on from generation to generation for centuries. People fear what they don't understand.
ok so this is what i learned in my history class.. not me.. my teacher saying this.
when the spanish and english started populating america they needed extra labor so they started to get indentured servants (men who were promised that if they came over from england and worked for several years for free that they would be set free and get a small plot of land).
well then all of the sudden thewhy black people are racist idea of having "slaves" came up and at first there was no racism... it was just black people over in america working sort of like indentured servants (most of them were also set free at first).
but then things started to change.. different situations/conflicts were being brought up new laws had to be made. all these little laws that were made in order to make sure that the "slave" stayed with their owners became more and more particular to where it became a "slave or not slave" society. there were just as many slaves as there were whites at one point and so it was distinguished that the whites were=not slaves... and the blacks were= slaves (even though some white people were slaves and some blacks were owners).
this of course was not politically correct. but there was so much going on in America at the time that no one could take the time to set everything straight (especially with the whole declaration of independence saying that all men were equal- a contradiction to slavery)
hundreds of years past with the whole "black=slave" "white=not slave" that the newer generations forgot what the world was like without black people being known as slaves. so strong stigma's were formed, especially because the government separating the blacks and whites enforced this stigma.
and now 100's of years after slavery has been abolished and only a few years after blacks gaining TRUE equal rights there is still the stigma and it's going to take time for people to get over it because this stigma was impounded in Americans heads for generations.
i feel sort of the same way about people's feelings about the gay community. there is a strong stigma and it's also going to take many years for some progress.
the world just sucks.. i wish we both were born in a much later time when no one will be racist or homophobic etc.

When I talk to a person who is racist against blacks, it has been because of personal experience. And I used to say it was because of ignorance. But, they all have reasons for hating, so how could that be ignorant, just personal opinions. The things they say they hate about blacks is the thuggish behavior and appearance, rudeness and attitudes, laziness, and excessive loudness. Now assuming all blacks are like this is ignorant. But if those experiences hold true and continue to hold true with those you meet, then you are making a judgement based on experience and that is not ignorant. I've met some smart, funny, nice, respectful black people before. That's why it doesn't make sense for me to be racist, I would just be lying to myself. But for people who only meet one type of black person, it's easy to understand why they are racist.

Well, I wouldn't hate anyone based strictly on their color. Their skin color just serves as a flag to show that statistically speaking that person is more likely to commit rape and murder, and sell crack and heroin to little kids, and make a mockery of the english language, and glorify being a "thug" in their so called music. That is just the tip of the iceberg. I know when I was 13, I was already having to fight for my life to keep from having my bike stolen by black people. I knew where to buy crack at the time. I had a large group of black people throwing stuff at me for riding my bike through a predominately black college campus. Why would anyone hate them just for being black? They give us so many other reasons to hate them first. I think everyone should be given a fair chance, but I have never met a black person who proved me wrong. In fact, the last time I befriended a black kid, he ripped me off for more than a thousand dollars worth of camera gear. I can't hate them enough.

dogpile clothing store"Punk Clothing"?
Everytime I go into one of these so called "Punk/goth/ alternative" indepedently owned clothing stores they all seem to be carrying the same things from brands like Dogpile and Hellcatz and freakin Tripp and AV儿劣*. But, doesn't that defeat the purpose of punk style?
Punk is supposed to be DIY and creative, but I guess these stores obviously support the idea that all punks should submit to their standards of punk style, and if they don't, then they aren't one of them? If your not wearing doc martens, a studded leather vest with animal print skinny jeans, chokers and a mohawk then you aren't punk? Isn't punk supposed to be against everyone looking the same and being conformist mainstream clones. I mean I remember in the original punk scene, everyone seemd to carry thiet own styles Siouxsie, The Sex Pistols, and even the Ramones, but now they dont want you to go to Forever 21 and buy a $17 pair of zebra striped skinnys but want you to pay $50 for a Tripp pair from Crash, Bang, Boom! I just don't get it. That's like, a minor form of , capitalism. It is capitalisdogpile clothing storem.Either way, these punk stores are just as capitalistic as the mall stores. I just dont get it, WHy?

You got some of the original Punk fashion designers like Vivienne Westwood. Punk NOW-A-DAYS is not like it used to be. It seems much more popular. Everyone knows that style. But, the few TRUE punks do not shop t those stores. They strictly diy. Thrift stores, even out of dumpsters; get clothing and re-design it. That is my favorite!
All those commercial stores that try to get that punk look are EXACTLY what TRUE PUNKS are against!

aol picture sharingHow can I use Aol Instant Messenger file sharing and picture sharing while using norton?
Norton is blocking me from using the picture sharing or video features on AOL Instant Messenger. Even when I have AIM set to allow in my firewall settings, or even when I turn the Norton firewall off, it still doesn't work. What caaol picture sharingn I do?
