All I ever hear about her is that she buys expensive clothes, goes to fashion shows, beats up her maids, chokes people she doesn't agree with, and spits on police officers. Why exactly is this person important?

Not important to me...but why single her out? There are a LOT of celebrities whoghetto space are behaving badly these days. Look at Russell Crowe with throwing phones at people.
For some reason, it seems to be more fashionable to expose the negative things about celebrities and gossip about them than it is to talk about their actual work.
